Beehive Care Celebrates Inclusion at Worthing Pride 2025
Beehive Care was honoured to be selected as one of Worthing Pride’s chosen charities for 2025. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ dementia community through our specialist Community Dementia Hives in Ferring and Lancing.
As one of the highlighted charities, we were proud to take part in the vibrant Worthing Pride parade on Saturday 5th July. Staff from across Beehive Care came together in a joyful display of solidarity, wearing colourful T-shirts generously donated by our friends at Pinnacle. The energy and support from the crowd along the seafront was truly uplifting.
A particularly special moment was when our own Lynsey and Helen took to the main stage to address the audience. Speaking in front of hundreds, they shared heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our charity and helped champion inclusive dementia care.
Funds raised during Worthing Pride will directly support vital initiatives including staff training, outreach to local care homes, and the development of a peer support group in partnership with Switchboard’s BOLD project—an empowering programme designed to uplift and connect older LGBTQ+ people.
We are incredibly grateful to the Worthing Pride organisers, supporters, and community for embracing our mission and helping us build a more inclusive future for all.
